Farm Church School RESIDENCY

This past April, I was invited to The Farm Church School in Eaton, PA for a two day workshop with high school boarding students. Attending a boarding school myself during my teens,  I was interested in the working with students who have found homes away from home. From my experience at boarding school, one of the most interesting aspects of being away from home was how much of home each person brought with them. The result was an environment filled with so much diversity of perspective and identity and we somehow made a new place. This "new place" became our collective home built by each of our contributions. With this in mind, I asked students to gather images from their hometowns and incorporate them into the Farm Church School landscape. We incorporated these ideas with collage and cyanotypes.
